1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy governs all products, services, websites, applications, and browser extensions offered by AutoWA (referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). We collectively refer to these offerings as the "Service" throughout this Privacy Policy.

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring a secure experience while using our WhatsApp automation and bulk messaging service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, protect, and handle information obtained through your use of the Service. We utilize your data to deliver, enhance, and maintain Service functionality, enabling efficient and personalized WhatsApp communication.

By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you disagree with any terms in this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of the Service.

This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which govern all Service usage and together form your complete agreement with us.

2. Categories of Data We Collect

To deliver and enhance our Service, we collect various types of information:

  • Email address: For account creation, essential notifications, and optional marketing communications.
  • Full name: For account personalization and management purposes.
  • Contact number: For direct account-related communication when necessary.
  • Billing information: Collected exclusively for payment processing and invoicing during subscription purchases.

2.2. Usage Information

We automatically gather information about your Service interactions ("Usage Information"). This helps us understand user behavior, diagnose technical issues, and enhance Service performance. Usage Information may include:

  • IP address, browser type and version (e.g., Chrome, Firefox), and operating system details.
  • Extension interactions and feature usage patterns.
  • Session timestamps and duration spent using various features.
  • Unique extension identifiers and diagnostic information (e.g., error logs, crash reports).

2.3. Cookie Information

We employ cookies to monitor Service activity and store specific information. Cookies are small data files stored on your device containing unique identifiers. You can configure your browser to reject cookies, though this may restrict certain Service features. We utilize:

  • Session Cookies: For fundamental Service operation and session management.
  • Preference Cookies: To retain your customized settings and preferences.
  • Security Cookies: For authentication and security purposes.

2.4. Payment Information

During purchases, we do not directly collect or store your payment card information. All payment processing is handled securely by third-party payment processors. Your payment details are submitted directly to these processors, and their respective privacy policies govern their use. We only receive payment confirmation from these processors.

2.5. Google Sheets Data

When you connect Google Sheets to our Service, we access only the specific spreadsheet data you authorize. We process this data solely during your active session to facilitate WhatsApp message sending. We do not permanently store your spreadsheet content on our servers unless explicitly required for generating delivery reports that you request.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process collected data exclusively for specific purposes related to providing, maintaining, and improving our Service:

  • Account administration: Creating and maintaining user accounts, enabling secure login, and ensuring proper account functionality.
  • Service delivery: Processing your information to provide requested WhatsApp automation and bulk messaging services.
  • Payment processing: When you subscribe to paid plans, payment information is processed by third-party processors to complete transactions and manage subscriptions.
  • Customer support: Responding to inquiries, resolving technical difficulties, and assisting with service-related questions.
  • Essential notifications: Communicating critical updates, new features, or important policy changes directly affecting your AutoWA usage.

3.2. Service Enhancement and Security

  • Usage analysis: Collecting Usage Information to understand extension and website utilization, identify performance patterns, and guide strategic improvements.
  • Technical issue resolution: Proactively identifying and addressing bugs, errors, and security vulnerabilities to maintain Service stability and security.

3.3. Campaign Reporting and Analytics

  • Message delivery reporting: We store data including recipient numbers, message content references, and delivery metadata on our secure servers to generate comprehensive messaging campaign reports and analytics for you.
  • Performance analytics: Creating historical performance data, campaign logs, and delivery statistics to help you track your messaging effectiveness.
  • Explicit consent for data storage: By using the Service for message sending and requesting reports, you acknowledge and explicitly consent to the transmission and storage of campaign-related data on our servers solely for providing detailed reporting and analytics. We provide tools for you to access and manage your campaign history through your account dashboard.

3.4. Google API Services Integration

  • Google Sheets integration: We use Google Sheets API with read-only permissions to access your authorized spreadsheets for message personalization and bulk sending.
  • Minimal data access: We request only the minimum necessary permissions to read spreadsheet data required for WhatsApp message generation.
  • Session-based processing: Your Google Sheets data is processed in real-time during your active sessions and is not permanently stored unless you explicitly request campaign reporting features.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for the duration necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this privacy policy, or as mandated by applicable law (such as tax or accounting requirements). We will not retain your personal information for longer than eighteen (18) months after your account closure.

When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either permanently delete it or render it anonymous. If immediate deletion is not feasible (for example, if your data exists in backup archives), we will securely isolate it and prevent any further processing until deletion becomes possible.

Campaign data and message logs used for generating your reports are retained for a maximum of 12 months to provide historical analytics, unless you request earlier deletion through your account settings.
